The 2018 Worldwide Invitational

The Worldwide Invitational is an opportunity for players to showcase their skills before our camp’s head coaches from Australia, Germany, Belgium, & Italy.  In addition to playing for our coaches, the players will also have the opportunity to be scouted by the general managers and coaches from all the top leagues in Europe, Asia, and the D League that will also be in attendance at our event.  Las Vegas and UNLV (the site of this year’s event) are the centerpieces to professional basketball’s summer free agency signing period.  The Worldwide Invitational will be located at the UNLV Student Wellness & Recreation Center from July 8-10, which is 500 meters from the Cox Pavilion (Home of the NBA Summer League).

The Worldwide Invitational camp has seen 84% of its players play professionally in the last four seasons (since adopting the draft in 2014) with those signings are located here.

To be eligible for the 2018 Worldwide Invitational, all applicants must register before 7:30 pm US Eastern time on June 29, 2018 and must submit the $189 registration fee (prior to April 30, 2018 and $219 after).

Players must be 20 years or older and they also must have completed their NCAA or NAIA eligibility or be looking to forego their college eligibility to become a professional basketball player. Having an agent is not required, but players must have competed in the NCAA or professionally within the last two years.

Our Australian, German, Belgian, & Italian coaches will travel to Las Vegas to coach the Worldwide Invitational teams.  All the players that register for the event will watch live to see if they are drafted and to what coach they are selected by.  The draft will take place live on June 30, 2018 at 12:00pm US Eastern.

Registered players that are selected in our Live Draft will travel to Las Vegas with the hopes they can impress the coaches that will be coaching our camp’s eight (8) teams as well as any of the other coaches from the top-tier men’s professional leagues that will be in attendance.

Teams will consist of a maximum of eight (8) players.  The players will be selected from the players who register their participation in the draft pool.  Players of all nationalities are welcome and we will stop accepting registrations at the first 200 players that apply.  Games will be played in four (4) ten (10) minute quarters. Each team will play three (3) games with the two top teams in the tournament playing in a 4th game for the Championship.  You can find out more about the schedule here.
